The Role
Our mission is to be the #1 provider of modular security for the fast-growing BTC ecosystem, including BTC L2s, DAs, and Rollups. As part of this effort, we’re hiring a Community Manager to join the Growth team with prior experience building, managing and curating communities in the blockchain ecosystem.
The Growth team accelerates the growth of the SatLayer ecosystem by supporting committed teams that are building ambitious SatLayer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Growth: Develop, implement, and manage initiatives to build, grow, and maintain thriving and engaged online communities, using creativity, data and competitive intelligence; engage personally with the community.
- Content Contribution: Drive contribution to the SatLayer community and ecosystem in the form of high quality, novel creative content, memes.
- Quality Management: Limit and police low-quality/spam contributions.
- Hype: Build excitement, fun and creativity within the community.
- Voice of Team: Create or spot opportunities for engagement by fellow SatLayer team members in the online community.
- Education: Develop community learning about SatLayer, the BTC ecosystem, security within BTC and BTC L2s.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other Growth team members to drive growth more broadly and in particular on cross-functional projects (e.g. social media, product marketing).
- Fun: Contribute to a fun, creative and idea-rich culture in the Growth team.
Requirements
- Proven experience and results in developing communities and implementing successful initiatives from the ground up.
- 2+ years of online community development and management, preferably in the blockchain ecosystem; or 2+ years of experience at a L2 blockchain or similar (e.g. portfolio support at a venture firm).
- Naturally a networker; social and personable.
- Excellent speaker and writer.
Standout Qualities
- Active involvement in the Bitcoin community.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin).
